Audiences

An Audience is a named group of contacts. Campaigns are run against an audience — every contact in the audience receives a call.

Viewing Audiences

Go to Audiences in the sidebar to see all audiences for your organization. The list shows:

  • Audience name and description
  • Contact count
  • Creation date

Creating an Audience

Click "+ Create Audience"

On the Audiences page, click + Create Audience.

Name Your Audience

NameA descriptive name (e.g., "Mumbai Leads - March 2026")

Click Save. The audience starts empty — add contacts next.

Adding Contacts to an Audience

From the Audience Detail Page

  1. Open the audience by clicking its name.
  2. Click + Add Contacts.
  3. Search and select contacts to add.
  4. Click Add.

During Contact Import

When bulk importing contacts, you can select an audience to add all imported contacts to directly.

From the Contacts Page

  1. Go to Contacts.
  2. Select one or more contacts using the checkboxes.
  3. Click Add to Audience and select the target audience.

Removing Contacts

  1. Open the audience.
  2. In the contacts list, select contacts to remove using the checkboxes.
  3. Click Remove from Audience.

Removing a contact from an audience does not delete the contact — it only removes them from that specific audience.

Audience for a Campaign

When creating a campaign, you select an audience as the target. OliAI creates one call record per contact in the audience at the time the campaign starts.

⚠️

Changes to an audience after a campaign has started do not affect that campaign. The contact list is snapshotted when the campaign begins.

Deleting an Audience

On the Audiences page, click the Delete (trash) icon next to an audience.

You cannot delete an audience that is linked to an active or in-progress campaign.

Best Practices

  • Name audiences with context — Include date, segment, and purpose: "Delhi Premium - Q1 2026 Renewal"
  • Keep audiences focused — Smaller, targeted audiences get better engagement than massive generic lists
  • One audience per campaign — Create a fresh audience for each campaign rather than reusing audiences, so you have a clean record of who was called when
